“The Stack” Station Launch
* I completed this project while I was the Creative Director of OutCold
Fans could RSVP free online to this fifth annual Chicago show to see Lord Heron and Jess Williamson live in action. These two artists were chosen based on their new station called “The Stack”. This station is a new music discovery engine that builds upon Pandora’s music history to identify, support, and deliver fan rock mega stars they need to know right now. ‘The Stack’ channel does all this while mixing in all 65k listeners known favorites, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.It is this concept that helped create this intimate event in the heart of Chicago that celebrates trending artists in the area and gives listeners the opportunity to see them live in action when normally, they wouldn’t.
We transformed The Concord Theater into a space that was true to Pandora’s Indie Rock Vision. Even upon first entering the venue, the listener discovered a space that was truly original, unique, and inspired by an outstanding story. There was something for everyone to enjoy and experience outside the concert itself.
We incorporated Pandora’s sponsors, Cupcake Vineyards®, Samuel Adams, tulo™, and White Castle®,flawlessly into the space. Goodbye awkward boring pop up tents, hello key experiences, impossible burgers, free beer/wine, recorded pillow fights and even free stuffed sloths!
Phase _01
As always, step one is determining the goal of project. Once we had honed in on that we worked through desired consumer experience and the event style guide!
Phase _02
Once we had nailed down theme, style and event goals the real work started. I worked with Pandora, as well as each of their event sponsors to create individual moments that concert goers would be immersed in. There were several mini activations within the larger event. Graphic & event design culminated in working one on one with the fabrication and print teams to bring it all to life.
Phase _03
Execution! Installation and application of all the builds and designed moments was no small feat in this iconic music institution. In addition to the elements we fabricated, we also managed all sponsorship activations, talent riders, lighting and stage design and overall event production.

This is a quick social media recap video (put together by the team at Pandora) from the first Pandora show I produced as CD for OutCold. I executed all experiential and design elements from concept to print/build.
From the Jump
When we pitched Pandora as a new client we wanted to show them we were the right team for the job. To do this we threw an impromptu concert to show them jut how passionate we were about live music! We put the call out on social and had a pretty good turn out considering it was 9:30am on a Tuesday! I’d say it was a success, we went on to do several concert events with them, The Stack being the first.
